Financial Setup for NDIS
In order to record financial activity under the AR module for NDIS, each participant must have a completed financial setup.
The setup process ensures that invoices, payments, and receivables are correctly linked to the participant.
Step 1: Ensure a Person Record Exists
Before completing the financial setup, the participant must be linked to a Person record.
The Person record represents the actual individual receiving the service.
If the Person record does not already exist, it must be created first.
1. Go to the Participants page. Click on "Complete Financial Setup" for the particicpant you would like to set it up for.
2. The financial setup screen pops up. Click on the drop-down to "Link a person to this participant". At the bottom of the dropdown list, click on "Create new person" if the person record doesn't exist for the selected participant.
3. Fill in all the details for the person record and click on "Create Person" button.
The person record for this participant is now created, and you can now link the participant to this person.
Step 2: Link the Participant to the Person Record
Once the Person record exists:
- Open the participant page.
- Locate the Person mapping section. On the person column, click on "Complete Financial Setup".

- Link the participant to the correct Person record and click on "Next" button.

- For agency-managed claims the payer is set to NDIS by default. Select the payer from the dropdown for Plan Managed and Self Managed claims and click on "Finish" to complete the setup.

This connection is mandatory for AR processing.
Once completed, the person record for this participant is now created under the Person records.
Go to AR Module> Person Management.

The person record of this participant will be linked to the different Fund Accounts and Fund type, as well as details of the Financial contacts.
Once the link is complete, on the participant's page, this is indicated by a green tick. On hovering over this green tick, all the details of the person's account can be viewed.
