Getting Started: Support at Home Configuration
This article outlines the key system settings that should be configured before using SAH, including legal entities, payment details, invoicing rules, statement settings, aggregation rules, and field mappings, to ensure invoices and statements are generated correctly.
Before users begin using the quickclaim SAH, several system settings should be configured to ensure invoices, statements, and other outputs are generated correctly.
These settings are configured behind the scenes after the device connection has been completed and is live. While customers can begin using the system and creating claims immediately, completing this checklist before going live is strongly recommended.
Why is this important?
- Users can submit claims without completing these settings.
- However, if invoicing rules are not configured, invoices will be generated using the system's default settings.
- If a legal entity is not configured, invoices will not display the organisation's branding, logo, or business details.
- Missing statement or mapping configurations may result in incomplete or incorrectly formatted outputs.
Pre-Go-Live Checklist
1. Configure Legal Entity
A legal entity must be created and configured for the organisation.
This determines:
- Company name displayed on invoices
- Business contact details
- Company branding
- Logo displayed on invoices and statements
Recommendation: Complete this step before generating any customer invoices.
2. Configure Payment Information
Set up the payment details that will appear on invoices.
This may include:
- Bank account details
- Payment instructions
- Reference requirements
- Additional payment notes
These details allow customers and funding bodies to make payments correctly. Currently, this information can only be added by quickclaim support.
3. Configure Monthly Statement Settings
Configure the content displayed on monthly statements.
This includes:
- Opening notes
- Closing notes
- Additional statement information
The statement notes support Markdown formatting, allowing organisations to include customised text, formatting, links, and instructions.
4. Configure Invoicing Rules
Set up the invoicing rules that determine how invoices are generated.
Examples include:
- Invoice grouping behaviour
- Customer-specific invoicing requirements
If no invoicing rule is configured, the system will generate invoices using the default configuration.
5. Configure Aggregation Rules
Aggregation rules determine how invoices are grouped together.
These rules control:
- Which transactions appear together on an invoice
- How invoice line items are consolidated
- The level of detail displayed
This is customizable depending on the organisation's needs. By default, there is no aggregation.
6. Configure Mapping and User Field Mapping
Set up any required field mappings between SAH and external systems.
This includes:
- User field mappings
- Dimension mappings
Correct mapping ensures information is imported, exported, and displayed accurately throughout the system.
Recommended Validation
Before users begin processing invoices, confirm that:
✓ Legal Entity has been configured
✓ Payment Information has been configured
✓ Monthly Statement Settings have been configured
✓ Invoicing Rules have been configured
✓ Aggregation Rules have been configured
✓ User Field and Data Mappings have been configured
Completing this checklist helps ensure invoices and statements are generated correctly from day one.
